A BIT ABOUT LEVEL METHOD AND GETTING STARTED.

What is Levels Based Fitness?

We’d define it as:

A system that provides goals, workouts, and scaling based on a person’s current level of fitness, strengths, and weaknesses.

In order to know someone’s fitness level (and their strengths and weaknesses) we need an assessment that accurately determines someone’s level of strength, power, stamina, aerobic conditioning, and coordination among others.

There are countless amazing benefits to using a system like this, but here are a few primary points:

  • Easily identify specific fitness weaknesses

  • Allow a simpler and more effective way to create a plan to get fitter

  • Clearly identify when progress is made

  • Create many more opportunities for the psychological benefit of success on the journey. ie PRs (we call these powerful moments)

While there are many forms of Level Systems out there (some coming on the scene over a decade ago), none have put the effort and focus into creating a complete, easy to use and widely adopted solution… except Level Method, that is.

Let me introduce you to Angie Weyer. Not only is she one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, she secretly one of the most competitive. Unlike our previous members, we highlighted when you ask Angie a question, the answer can almost be guaranteed to be, "I don't know"

In that light we had to be double sneaky when interviewing Angie. Rather than asking questions, and  her give us the answers.

Aside from being fiercely competitive during workouts, Angie is beyond proud of her two daughters Maddy and Abby. On June 4th Maddy competed in her first CrossFit style competition at the Kraken Games. In between workouts we had general conversation with Angie and it became apparent  very quickly how incredibly proud she is as a mother.

While Angie isn't one to brag, she can't hide her smile every time she levels up.  Watching her level up from an orange one weight lift up to purple flat  over the last year and a half has been amazing!  More often than I can count I've had to trick Angie into attempting a weight that she previously thought was impossible. To then watch her crush it as if it were paper thin.

So Angie take it from us. You are a phenomenal person, an amazing athlete and a loving mom!!!!
